Staff: *Private Life* Sep 19 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view Polaroids of anonymous bodies sealed in resin trays and a scaffold heaped with used clothing, in Staff’s third solo show at the gallery. The Polaroid series Property 01, 02, 03 and onward, shot on green and purple film by the artist and friends, shows genitals and backsides at varying degrees of abstraction, each print set in resin in its own metal tray with stray hairs and fingerprints. Wanting is a metal frame wedged between the walls, piled with worn clothes and crossed by an LED text. The gallery’s text is a letter to the artist by Lauren Mackler. Coson, a Filipino artist based in London, bought disused container doors as scrap, inked them in full, and pressed unstretched canvas over them with her body and tools such as wooden spoons. The prints, her largest series so far, record handles, hinges, cracks and stenciled numbers and wrap the gallery walls. The show reflects on global shipping and trade, staged in the port city of Los Angeles. Graham, known for designing clothes for trans women around each model’s body from thrifted and found materials, shows a film and poster, garments and accessories, and a writhing animatronic mannequin. The work draws on her latest collection, Terminal Investment, shown at New York Fashion Week 2026. The presentation is organized by Secret Agent Woman (SAW), with a text by P. Staff. Behind the first door, a bas-relief shows a one-story family house from across the street at a child’s eye level; the second opens on an early-1970s interior of space-age appliances and family decor; the third leads into the girls’ bedroom. The tableaux are collaged and sculpted from wire, cloth, paper and wood. Mendoza was born in Manila and lives in Los Angeles. The installation is presented by AAAgent.
