# The Perez Bros.: *Lookout Weekend* Sep 11 – Oct 24, 2026 · on view · CJG2, 961 Chung King Road New resin-glossed paintings of Los Angeles lowrider culture, from garage tune-ups to a panoramic car show in Victoria Park. The twin brothers Alejandro and Vicente Perez paint from their own photographs of garages, cruise nights and car shows, finishing the canvases in high-gloss resin with metal flake. Scenes of polishing and repair lead up to A Sunday Afternoon at Victoria Park, one of their largest paintings, with more than a dozen cars and the crowd around them. Their second show with the gallery takes its title from a 1984 Debbie Deb song. Charlie’s Transmissions is their first shaped canvas, cut like a spare-tire cover.
