# Lindsey Warren: *Somewhere, Here* Oct 17 – Nov 14, 2026 · coming up - Sat, Oct 17, 2026: Opening reception, 3–6 pm Ten new oil paintings of Los Angeles trees and places, seen in particular light and reduced to simplified shapes and color. Warren paints real spots she finds on foot around her Mt Washington neighborhood, treating trees like portrait subjects whose color is set by sunset glow or a streetlight. She works from photographs and memory, building thin blended layers in oil, then adjusting hues and shapes as the painting develops. Architecture is kept faithful while trees and buildings are pared down to essential forms. It is the gallery’s fourth solo show of the Los Angeles painter.
