A group presentation from the Hoffmann collection on contradictory, coexisting states of mind, with works by some thirty-five artists.
The 29th presentation of the collection, curated by Clara Meister, draws on works by some thirty-five artists, among them Cahn, Flavin, Nauman, Rist, Saville, Spero, Tillmans and Warhol. It is concerned with contradictory states that exist side by side, set off by situations, images or news and swinging between tangible reality and abstract future possibilities.
Helplessness, anger and feeling lost or trapped sit alongside hope and confidence. Permanent outdoor works in the courtyards by Gunda Förster, Thomas Locher, Lawrence Weiner and Teresa Murak can also be seen.
