# Christian Achenbach: *Echotropia* Sep 9 – Nov 8, 2026 · on view · Nave New landscape paintings and still lifes in saturated color, built around Genesis, a monumental canvas made for the nave of St. Agnes. Achenbach’s third show with the gallery fills the former church’s nave. Its centerpiece, Genesis, sets a vivid landscape behind an abstract grid that recalls the squaring Renaissance painters used to enlarge drawings, shifting the viewer between several vantage points at once. Around it hang still lifes of flowers set by windows and on curtained terraces, picking up his earlier floral Vanitas series (2012–2017) and the interiors he has painted since 2021. Achenbach, born in Siegen in 1978, lives in Berlin.
