# Ro Robertson: *The Swimmer* Apr 2 – Oct 18, 2026 · on view, closing soon A new temporary steel sculpture in the museum garden, made for the Marlow Moss exhibition. Each summer the museum commissions a temporary work for its garden; this year it is The Swimmer by Ro Robertson (b. 1984). It was made for the group show on the Constructivist Marlow Moss, and is one of three new sculptures Robertson created for it. Robertson works in steel, welding and industrial processes, drawing on a family history of Sunderland shipbuilders. Like Moss, Robertson lives in far west Cornwall, and shares her interest in repetition and doubling of forms, treating sculpture as a process tied to body and place.
