# Lovis Corinth: *Then Came Berlin!* Oct 9, 2026 – Jan 25, 2027 · on view, just opened A major show on Lovis Corinth’s Berlin years, from his move from Munich in 1901 to his place at the center of the city’s art world. The exhibition follows the painter (1858–1925) through his rise in Berlin and the part his household played in it, and looks at lesser-known sides of his work: the painting school where he taught mostly women, and his work for Berlin theaters. It draws on the museum’s own Corinth canvases, researched for the show, and continues its series on Berlin modernists after Munch, Hodler, Laserstein, Mammen and Beckmann.
