# Jeewi Lee: *Residual Memories* Sep 11, 2026 – Apr 5, 2027 · on view Jeewi Lee’s first institutional solo show in Berlin, made for the GASAG Art Prize 2026 and built around sand. Lee works in painting, sculpture and site-specific installation with humble materials that carry traces of time and wear. Here she turns to sand: a mix of minerals, rock, organic remains and now microplastics, the base of concrete, glass, microchips and water filters, and a resource growing scarce through global demand. A sound work runs through the rooms. Born in Seoul in 1987, Lee lives in Berlin. The prize, given every two years with GASAG, honors work between art, science and technology.
